St. John’s University is a private, Roman Catholic, research university located in New York City, United States. Founded by the Congregation of the Mission (C.M., the Vincentian Fathers) in 1870. Test Requirement: For the fall 2016 applicants who submitted their SAT or ACT test scores, the average SAT score for the entering freshman class was 1156 out of 1600 (Math and Critical Reading), and the mean composite ACT score was 25. The average GPA is a 90 or 3.5 on the 4.0 scale.
