Lund University, Sweden is offering scholarships for international students who wish to pursue a bachelors and masters programs in the university. The scholarship will cover 25%, 50%, 75% and up to 100% tuition fees and will be deducted from the tuition fee of the programme or free-standing course for which you are awarded a scholarship.
In order to qualify for this award, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Qualified applicant must come from a country outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland).
- Must have applied for a bachelors or masters studies in a regular application round for a minimum of one semester of study (30 ECTS).
- Please do not apply if you do not meet the admission requirements to Lund University.
- Please do not apply if you cannot secure the funding needed to cover living costs, as required by the Swedish Migration Agency.

The mode of application is online. Before you begin your application for this scholarship, ensure that you have applied for the programme(s) or free-standing course(s) you wish to study at Lund University using the online, national application website, found at www.universityadmissions.se, during the application period. After you have sent your admission application, paid application fees, information regarding the scholarship application will be sent to you. Applicants will be asked to write a motivation letter (maximum 500 words). Note that the motivation letter for the scholarship should be different from any statement of purpose you use for your admission. Your scholarship personal “motivation letter” should explain why your academic performance and reasons for applying to Lund University make you an appropriate recipient for a Lund University Global Scholarship.
The application period is now open for students applying for studies starting autumn (i.e. August/September 2016). The application period is late October until January 15. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is 15 January 2016.
Application period for the spring semester (January 2017) will commence 1 June until 15 August. Deadline to apply for studies starting spring is 15 August 2016. Note that only a few programmes start in spring each year.
