Czech has a really good educational system for international students wishing to study there. The language of instruction in Czech is Czech, but most of the courses are offered in English as well for international students.
The major requirement for obtaining either a Bachelor´s degree program or a Master’s degree program from a university in Czech is the successful completion of an accredited high school education or undergraduate degree program respectively. The entry requirement is the same for admission into Doctoral studies; applicants are expected to have completed their Master’s degree programs.. Students are also permitted to apply for more than one study program at various institutions and faculties.
The number of international students traveling to study in Turkey has greatly doubled since 2006. For instance, during the 2011-2012 academic year, more than 25,545 international students from across the world were studying in various universities in Turkey. The main reasons for choosing Turkish universities include; high standard of education, low cost of living and numerous scholarships that provide monthly stipends.
Cost of Living
International students who choose to study in Turkey should put aside 400-500 USD monthly on housing, meals, clothing, and interstate transportation. However, academic books and other administrative fees could consume up to 100-150 USD per semester.
Note that In 2010, the Higher Education Institute in Turkey instituted new policies for Foreign Student Examination called YOS which regulates academic standards of education for foreign students studying at universities in Turkey.
As a result of this new arrangement, YOS exam won’t be conducted centrally by OSYM. rather, universities will be responsible for conducting their own entrance examinations.
Therefore, academically talented international students are encouraged to apply separately to each university. Before applying to any university program, you are strongly encouraged to get in touch with the Admissions Office of your university to determine what documents or exams to sit for.
Most universities do provide international students with the option of an online application and registration system. To be sure of this, please visit your university’s website.
