Georgetown University in the United States is offering the unique opportunity for talented postgraduate Africans to apply for free study abroad scholarships. For the 2016/2017 fall, Applications are been received for a full tuition scholarship for a two year master’s programme. The programme is dubbed Master of Science in Foreign Service, which is will be hosted at the university campus in the United States. The scholarship has been offered annually since 2013.
Application Deadline: January 15, 2016.
Field of Study Covered: The programme is a Master of Science in Foreign Service scholarship with courses spanning from international relations, international trade, international finance, statistics and analytical tools and history. Students will have the right to select an area of concentration for example; International majors in Relations and Security, International Development or Global Business.
What you need to know about Selection Criteria and Eligibility
To enhance your chances of securing this Scholarship, you will need to possess:
- A TOEFL or IELTS scores of at least 100 and 7.0 respectively.
- Applicants from the following countries will be given special preference: Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa.
- The scholarship requires that you should have completed a course in Microeconomics and macroeconomics or demonstrate the ability to finish both courses before the scholarship starts in fall 2016

Among the documents you need to submit include (online application, , letters of recommendation, personal statement, official transcripts and test scores).
