PERKS consulting is seeking to offer international students and non-citizens of the United States the opportunity to apply and be considered for a funded local scholarship programme, dubbed NEXTGEN Scholarship. PERKS, a US-based international firm, specializes in empowering nonprofit, and small to medium scale enterprises through the provision of capacity support and strategic training. The Scholarship package, offered every fall, awards an amount of $1000 to potential international students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the United States, particularly in Universities based in Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Founded by PERKS president Andrena Sawyer, the scheme hopes to ease the financial difficulties international students go through while receiving a top-notch education in the United states. As a prerequisite, an applicant must have been enrolled or gained admission to a college in the US. With a minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 or above, an applicant stands a high chance of being selected. Applications will be received until May 16, 2016.
Please adhere to the criteria specified below to increase your chances of winning this Scholarship. Predominantly, the selection committee will prioritize academic merit and financial need. Other requirements include;
(a) Be an international student from any country other than the United States.
(b) Obtained a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.

To fully complete your applications, you are required to submit a supplemental packet. The content of this packet is made of two letters of recommendation from people who truly know you well (Counsellors, Teachers, Mentors etc.), academic transcripts (whether high school or university), a prove of your admission letter into a US college, and two essays.
