Apply to be considered for the Asian Development Bank internship 2016. Thrice each year, The Asian Development Bank welcomes applications from committed, broad-minded individuals who are offered the chance to intern at major international development firms. The programme is funded and a significant number of postgraduate and PHD candidates are given placement each year. With about close to 30 billion dollars of financing as per 2014 budget year, the ADB is by far one of the biggest financial institutions in the continent of Asian.
As part of the programme, participants will work collaboratively on a number of projects under the oversight of experienced corporate professionals, to gain deep insights on development financing. Likewise, they will acquaint themselves about the work of the ADB through intensive research and contribute to the work of AFDB in many ways.
First batch of application spans from January 1 till February 28, 2016 and the start date is June.
The second batch of applications spans from August 1 till September 30, 2016 and the start date is December.
Internship duration and financial support
The minimum duration of the internship is 8 weeks and the maximum is 6 months (56weeks). All participants will receive stipends to help them meet basic necessities in accordance with their calendar throughout their period of internship.
What are the eligibility requirements?
The selection panel observe a high level of integrity and transparency in selection of qualified applicants. An applicant who meets these criteria will stand a good chance of be picked: candidates must:
- Hold a masters or PHD qualification or should have enrol in the programme prior to application.
- Obtain relevant years of professional experiences and studied in academic disciplines related to the work of ADB.
- A strong command of the English Language both in writing and speech.
