The HIV Research for Prevention (HIVR4P 2016) will provide significant awards for 25 international journalists to attend the conference on HIV . The journalist fellowship program is programmed to help build journalist capacity to report on biomedical HIV prevention, and to generate high-profile media coverage of advances and challenges in prevention research, especially in communities that are heavily impacted by the epidemic.
Participating journalists will also be part of a two-day, onsite workshop with leaders in various fields of biomedical prevention research, designed to help them better understand and report on research developments from the conference.
Interested applicants will be required to submit a brief letter of intent, CV, editor recommendation, samples of published work relating to HIV/AIDS and other details. It is also expected that all accepted fellows must commit to be in Chicago from 16 October, when the training program begins, up and u through the conclusion of the conference on 21 October, 2016.
