The United Nations Academic Impact in collaboration with the ELS Educational Services INC is inviting young people to participate in the 2016 many languages, One World Student Essay Contest and Global Youth Conference. This is an International youth opportunity for young people to share their brilliant ideas in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations. That said, 60 students will be selected to attend the 2016 fully funded United Nations Academic Global Youth Forum on the 25th of July 2016.
These students will create action plans related to the United Nations 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
This essay should talk about global citizenship, cultural understanding and the role multi lingual ability can play in enhancing these. The applicants essay must reflect his/her personal, educational and national context.
-Since this is fully funded, ESL will pay for the student’s roundtrip economy flight-the organizers will also be responsible for taking care of winner’s room, travel, and meals for the duration of the conference.
-The organizers shall cover excursion and sightseeing expenses in addition.
-All winners attending the conference will be giving a certificate of participation indicating they’ve participated In the Global Youth Forum.
Note that winners will be responsible for the costs that come with obtaining a visa and passport for the event to facilitate their temporary stay in the United States.
–Applicants must be 18 years or older at the time of this application.
-You must be a full time University Student with endorsement from your university faculty or university representative.
How to apply
-Please when writing your essay, ensure you adhere to the rules and eligibility guidelines
-Also share your essay with your University Faculty or representative who recommended you to ensure that you adhered to the writing rules and guidelines.
-Ensure your faculty or university representative recommender completes this form:
-Once the form is submitted, the recommender shall receive an email in many languages requesting confirmation for the submission.
-Once the reference form has been submitted, you will receive further information on next steps.—–Please note the online forms you will receive shortly after your recommendation has been submitted must be completed in English. Submit your full name as It appears on your passport and do not include your photo.
-At the bottom of the student entry application form, you will find a link to upload your essay for the contest.
-Please note that only essays submitted through the above mentioned link will be accepted.
-The essay should be submitted in MS WORD format. Please title it this way: Lastname_Firstname-Language of essay (e.g Juliet _Paul-English). Please don’t include a cover that discusses your personal your personal information.
-Do not submit more than one essay.
